A dream, a forest, a girl who remains forever elusive. Darkness, trees, mystery. These are the elements of this series, the result of a work on the woods and of an artist’s residency. The guiding thread is the search for mysterious “situations”, for a surreal atmosphere. I wanted to immerse myself in the enigmatic world of the forest and capture all its strangeness. To do so, I created staged scenes with “characters”: I used my models as actors on a set, while still leaving them room for improvisation.
The series A Forest has been exhibited at the Galérie le 29 in Paris, during Les Rencontres photographiques du 10ème Festival in 2011.
